This is a proceeding instituted under section 2750 of the Code of Civil Procedure; by the administrator of the estate of the decedent for the purpose of obtaining a sale of the latter’s real estate for the payment of his debts. The land in question descended to the only child of the intestate, subject to the dower right of the widow, and on their behalf answers were interposed to the petition amd an order of reference was made to take proof of the several matters and allegations set forth in the petition and answers, and the referee was directed to report such proofs to the court,…
