The plaintiff sues the defendants to recover damages foi personal injuries sustained by her as a result of the collision *500of two motor vehicles, one a pleasure car owned and operated by the defendant Staffe, in which the plaintiff was a passenger, and a mail truck owned by the United. States government, and operated by one Philip LaPorte, a government employee. The collision occurred on August 17, 1950, between" 12:30 and 12:45 A.M., at the intersection of 94th Street and 23rd Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York.
