Petitioner, Gregory J. Walsh, appeals the district court’s denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2255.

On November 19, 1980, Walsh was indicted on charges of illegally importing a firearm and marijuana into the United States. 18 U.S.C. § 922 and 21 U.S.C. § 952(a) and 960(a)(1), (b)(2). After negotiations with an Assistant United States Attorney, Walsh entered into a Rule 11 Plea Agreement.
