[1] This is an action for damages for false arrest and imprisonment brought by respondent (plaintiff) against Frank Herron, James P. Leigh, Clyde B. Eversole, The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York, Arlie Rector and Verne C. Goodwin, in the Circuit Court of Knox County. Change of venue was had to the Circuit Court of Macon County, where the cause was tried before a jury. During the course of the trial, plaintiff dismissed as to the last two named defendants, and a verdict for $3,000 went against the remaining four defendants.
