This is an action for damages for false arrest. There was a verdict and judgment in favor of plaintiff and against the defendants for actual damages in the sum of $750 and for punitive damages in a like sum. Defendants have appealed.

The facts show that plaintiff was a man of good reputation, residing in Kansas City and, for a number of years prior to the month of October, 1931, had been engaged as head janitor and custodian of various theaters and office buildings in Kansas City and that he was employed as such by the defendant, Kansas City Junior Orpheum Company.
