The plaintiff filed suit on September 16, 1932, against the defendant motor company for the recovery of $1000 . received by the company from a sale of her Willys-Knight automobile, and interest, under a writing dated November 12, 1927, and signed by both parties, as follows: “This is your authority to sell my Willys-Knight sedan car for the sum of $1500 (or over), same to be applied to the purchase-price of any Chrysler Model Imperial '80’ desired, delivery f. o. b.
