Plaintiff-appellant, Amoco Production Company (Amoco), appeals a final order of dismissal in favor of Action Well Service, Inc., (Action), entered by the Eleventh Judicial District fCourt on October 15, 1987. The trial coWt dismissed Amoco’s complaint pursuant to SCRA 1986, 1-012(B)(6) —“failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted” — on grounds that a contract entered into between the parties giving Amoco a claim for indemnification against Action was violative of NMSA 1978, Section 56-7-2(A) (Repl.Pamp.1986).
