BOB PEMBERTON, Justice.

In March 2005, the district court, sitting as a juvenile court, adjudicated J.J. delinquent, assessed a determinate sentence of twenty years, and placed him in the custody of the Texas Youth Commission (TYC). In November 2007, the juvenile court ordered that J.J., now nineteen years old, serve the remainder of his sentence in the custody of the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
