This steam*ship, laden with about 6,000 bales of cotton and 24,000 bushels of com, bound from New Orleans to Bremerhaven, when about 60 or 70 miles to the north-eastward of this port, Key West, was discovered to have fire in the cargo in tho forward hold. The master (lid everything in his power, but could not extinguish the fire, and turned bach to port, where he arrived at about 4 or 5 o’clock in the afternoon of the 3d of November.
