The defendant was convicted of assault with intent to murder and various firearms offenses after he pointed a gun at a State trooper. On appeal, the defendant challenges the sufficiency of the Commonwealth’s evidence of his specific intent to kill the trooper and argues that an erroneously admitted *120statement and the prosecutor’s improper closing argument deprived him of a fair trial.1 We conclude that the Commonwealth presented sufficient evidence of the defendant’s specific intent to kill, the defendant’s statement properly was admitted, and the prosecutor’s closing argument, while improper,…
