Appellants, as plaintiffs in the lower court, brought suit on a contract alleged to have been made with defendant, which placed in their hands for eight months, for sale, certain land, one tract being a 4-¡- acres lot or block in the town of Lockhart. Plaintiffs allege, that the contract was shown by a memorandum in writing, in- inscribed in their land register and signed by defendant. By the terms-of the contract plaintiffs were to have the land for sale for eight months-from the first part of January, 1889, and defendant agreed to send any purchaser who might come to…
