I. INTRODUCTION
This matter is before us pursuant to a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus, filed by petitioner William Holland (“Petitioner”) on January 14, 2000. Petitioner presents twelve claims in pursuit of relief from his state murder conviction and death sen tence under the Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (“AEDPA”), 28 U.S.C. § 2254.
