YOUNG, District Judge.

I. INTRODUCTION

Angel Luis Pagan (“Pagan”), acting pro se, filed this petition for a writ of habeas corpus to challenge his detention pursuant to Section 2254 of Chapter 28 of the United States Code. Pagan is serving a life sentence at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, stemming from his convictions for first degree murder and armed home invasion.
