The Workmen’s Compensation Law (Cons. Laws, ch. 67), in section 18, provides that notice of an injury for which compensation is payable shall be given to the Commissioner and to the employer within thirty , days after the accident causing such injury, and notice of death, in case of death, within thirty days after death. The notice shall be given by any person claiming to be ■ entitled to compensation, or by someone in his behalf. , Whenever, therefore, notice of an injury or death is received, it is given by or in the name of a person claiming to be entitled to compensation.
