Defendant Paul C. Chartier appeals from a final judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Arthur D. Spatt, Judge, convicting him, upon his plea of guilty, on one count of bank robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(d) (1988). Following a remand from this Court in United States v. Chartier, 933 F.2d 111 (2d Cir.1991) (“Chartier F), the district court sentenced Chartier to, inter alia, a 236-month term of imprisonment, having found that Chartier was a “career offender” within the meaning of the federal Sentencing Guidelines…
