This case comes to the court on a petition to review a decision of the Court of Appeals. Dubman v. North Shore Bank, 85 Wis.2d 819, 271 N.W.2d 148 (1978). The Court of Appeals affirmed the judgment of the Circuit Court for Milwaukee County, the Honorable Ralph J. Podell, presiding, in which it was determined that the defendant North Shore Bank did not act unreasonably when it refused to consent to a transaction proposed by the plaintiff Stanley Dubman to release shares of stock pledged as collateral in order that Dubman could sell them “short against the box.” The Court of Appeals also…
