MEMORANDUM REGARDING PLAINTIFF’S 93A CLAIM

I. INTRODUCTION
Plaintiff Jane Rini (“Rini”) brought this action against defendant United Van Lines, Inc. (“United”) alleging, first, that United employees lost or stole valuable art work belonging to her during transport from South Carolina to Massachusetts, and, second, that United compounded the offense by subjecting her to a negligent and fraudulent claims process when she attempted to get compensation for the lost articles.
