The prosecution brings this interlocutory appeal pursuant to section 16-12-102, 8A C.R.S. (1995 Supp.), and C.A.R. 4.1 challenging the trial court’s order suppressing crystal methamphetamine obtained during a search of the defendant Johnny Maurice Melton. The trial court found that the police officers’ initial contact with Melton constituted an investigatory stop that was not justified by reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.
