DONALDSON, Judge.

A.M. ("the father") appeals from a judgment of the Houston Juvenile Court ("the juvenile court") granting the petition of the Houston County Department of Human Resources ("DHR") to terminate his parental rights to J.L.M. ("the child"). The father challenges the juvenile court's jurisdiction over the proceedings under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act ("the UCCJEA"), § 30-3B-101 et seq., Ala.
