The Chancellor.
The object of this suit is to compel a specific performance of a contract made by the defendant, George R. Chetwood, with the complainant, on the seventh of August, in the year eighteen hundred and thirty-five, for the purchase of a lot of land in Elizabeth-Town. The agreement is in writing, and by it, Chetwood agrees to purchase the land for five thousand dollars.
