*570In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendants Laura Merrolo and Penske Truck Leasing Co., LI] appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Whelan, J.), entered May 22, 2006, which, upon, inter alia, a jury verdict on the issue of damages awarding the plaintiff the principal sums of $1,470,000 for past pain and suffering, $2,500,000 for future pain and suffering, $100,000 for future medical expenses, $47,560 for past lost earnings, and $800,000 for future lost earnings, is in favor of the plaintiff and against them.
