This is a suit for damages for personal injuries wherein plaintiff had a judgment for $20,000. The plaintiff was a painter of several years experience, and had been in the defendant's employ between three and four years at the time of his injury. On the day in question he and another employee of defendant were engaged in painting a sign on the upper part of the front of one of defendant's buildings. They were working from a scaffold.
