The defendant was convicted by a jury in 1971 of armed robbery and rape and was sentenced by the trial judge to serve concurrent terms of 10 to 15 years in prison. The defendant then appealed and the Court of Appeals remanded to the trial court because of a possible constitutional error in the imposition of sentence. People v Jones, 47 Mich App 160; 209 NW2d 322 (1973).
