This was an action of trover, brought by Arthur H. Watson against Hammutual Johnson, in Merriwether Superior Court, for the recovery of a female slave, by the name of Jerusha, and tried before Judge Hill at the February Term, 1846. It appeared from the evidence thatsome time in the fore part of the year 1840, it was agreed verbally between the parties, that Watson should go to the city of Macon, and bring home to Mrs. Johnson some slaves of hers which were in that place; and also to *351Columbas, and catch and bring home to her a fellow of hers, which was lurking about…
