An information was filed pursuant to chapter 299, Revised Laws of Hawaii 1945, as amended, upon the statement of facts of the complaining witness alleging that she was an unmarried female residing in Honolulu and that on March 5, 1951, she gave birth to a female child which at the time of the trial was alive, dependent for support and not emancipated nor adopted; that Clayton M. Lanier, of Honolulu, is and was the father of the said illegitimate child, said child having been conceived as the result of sexual intercourse between the said complaining witness…
