This action originated in the district court of Lancaster county, and was brought for the purpose of enforcing a tax lien against a trac,t of real estate in the city of Lincoln described as “commencing 62 feet north of .the southeast corner of lot number 12 in block number 33, according to the original plat and survey of the town (now city) of Lincoln, Nebraska, thence north on Ninth street 40 feet, thence west 75 feet, thence south 40 feet, thence east 75 *433feet to the place of beginning.” It was alleged in the petition that in the year 1874 the property was duly assessed by the…
