This is an appeal from a judgment entered for want of a sufficient affidavit of defense.

The cause of action is based upon a contract of suretyship executed by the defendant on April 1,1920, wherein he agreed to become a surety for the Hausman Electric Company. The partners composing the firm were not mentioned therein, but it is admitted that they were Andrew H. Hausman and Clarence E.
