This was an action brought to recover damages for injuries to the person and property of the appellant sustained in a collision between a Panel Truck owned and driven by him, and one of the respondent’s box cars at a crossing in the city limits of Hartsville, in the County of Darlington, at about 7:15 on the night of October 20, 1948. The appellant, while operating his truck on U. S.
