EDELSTEIN, District Judge.
These cross libels resulted from a collision between the motor vessel Oteo New York and the motor vessel F. A. Verdón, in the New Haven Harbor Channel on the morning of April 15, 1955. The Oil Transfer Corporation, owner of the Oteo New York, and the Diesel Tanker F. A. Verdón, Inc., owner of the F. A. Verdón, were and are corporations organized and existing under the laws of the State of New York. The Oteo New York is a motor vessel of 1,913 gross tons, 1,388 net tons, 278 feet in length, 43 feet in breadth, 19.6 feet in depth and has 1,150 horsepower. It is a twin…
