The suit was for title to, and for damages for timber cut from, the E% of the Ey2 of Section 73 T. 19 S.R. 17 E„ Ter-rebonne Parish, Louisiana.
The claim as to title was that plaintiffs, under the tax redemption statutes of Louisiana, 1 had in 1938 while the title was in the state, redeemed the land from the tax adjudication of June 8, 1895, against their ancestor and had obtained a certificate of redemption therefrom.
