On 31 January, 1918, defendants Ada G. Cates and her husband, Paul Cates, executed a deed of trust, conveying to plaintiff Louis Breiling lands described therein, for the purpose of securing the payment of certain notes, executed by the grantors, aggregating the sum of $2,000, and payable to the Union Central Life Insurance Company. The lands conveyed by said deed of trust are situate in Beaufort County; they are described therein as the first tract, containing seven acres, known as the La Barbe Summer Eesidence, and as the second tract, containing sixty acres, known as the Stallings land.…
