Weinrich v. Hawley

Plaintiff, in a foreclosure action, sought collection of a promissory note in the amount of $5,000 and interest, and a decree of foreclosure of a real-estate mort gage given to secure the note. The mortgaged land is an unimproved eighty acres in Crawford County, Iowa. The defendants interposed several defenses, which will be later commented upon in this opinion.
