Plaintiffs brought an action in ejectment to recover possession of a lot of land having a frontage of twenty-five feet and six inches on Washington Street, San Francisco. The defendants filed an answer denying the material allegations of the complaint and by way of cross-complaint defendants Aaron Solomon and Hazel Solomon, his wife, prayed the court for a decree quieting their title to a strip of land four and one-half inches wide by 102 feet in depth, and it is the ownership of this strip of land that is in dispute.
