The David G. Janes Company, a corporation, the owner of fifty-one acres of land in the northwest quarter of section 8, township 2 north, of range 23 east, Kenosha county, Wisconsin, in 1913 had the property surveyed and a plan or plat made of it, dividing it into parcels. The land was bounded on the west by the right of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company, and on the east by Lake Michigan.
