Casey, J.
The parties separated in July 1988 and in August 1989 they executed a separation agreement, which provided for joint custody of the parties’ three children. Physical custody of the children was fixed with petitioner during the school year and with respondent during the summer months. The parties were divorced in October 1990 and shortly thereafter petitioner sought a Family Court order confirming the custody and visitation arrangements set forth in the separation agreement.
