This is an intervening petition for the allowance of and the establishment of a lien for attorney’s fees, filed by leave of court in the case of People v. Holten, in the circuit court of St. Clair county. The original suit in which this intervening petition is filed is a suit in equity against Holten and his sureties on his official bonds as city treasurer of the city of East St. Louis and ex-officio collector of the town of East St. Louis, for failure to turn over and account for taxes collected by him as such officer, and interest thereon.
