The several defendants at bar were convicted at a time subsequent to the date of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution of the Hnited States and after the Act of Congress was passed for its enforcement. The question involved is, Do these federal laws annul the state law *12under which defendants were indicted for selling liquor without a license?

The Pennsylvania Act of May 18,1887, P. L. 108, called the Brooks Law, is entitled “Ah Act to restrain and regulate the sale of vinous and spirituous, malt or brewed liquors, or any admixtures thereof.” Any liquor…
