The defendant is engaged in the manufacture of oils from crude petroleum. In the process there is produced a fluid substance, called “naphtha,” which, at the low temperature of 13 deg. Fahrenheit, gives off vapor, or gas, which is inflammable, and explosive when confined. Its explosive power is estimated to be equal to 140 pounds to the square inch.
