Appellant brought an action against respondent Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (“Wal-Mart”) alleging various theories of negligence. The circuit court granted summary judgment in favor of Wal-Mart. We affirm.

FACTS

This case arises from the physical and sexual abuse of then three-year-old J. Doe (“the victim”). The facts, in the light most favorable to appellant, are as follows. Appellant, F. Doe, is the victim’s guardian ad litem and great uncle. F. Doe and his wife (“the aunt”) often kept the victim for months at a time.
