ORDER
LONGSTAFF, Chief Judge.
A trial in the above-captioned case was held on February 4, 2002, and a jury found defendant guilty of possessing a firearm after having been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, in violation of 18 U.S.C. section 922(g)(9), and as a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. section 922(g)(1). The key issue at the trial was whether the gun found at the scene of defendant’s arrest was in his possession, as it was found on the ground in the vicinity of his arrest. Before the Court now is defendant’s March 15 motion for a new trial.…
