The City of Pendergrass, the Pendergrass Police Department, Chief of Police Robert Russell, individually, and as supervisor of Officer Richard Jewell, and Officer Richard A. Jewell (collectively “the defendants”) appeal the trial court’s grant of a stay of proceeding under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, 50 USCAppx. § 522 (“the Act”) to Eddie Dion Skelton, the plaintiff below.
