H. F. Millward brought this action in the district court of Grady county against the defendants, Hosea Fletcher, doing business as the Fletcher Funeral Home, and Everett Clifford Davis, to recover damages for personal injuries and damages to his automobile. The trial resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff and against the defendants in the sum of $1,000. The defend*178ants have appealed. The parties will be referred to as they appeared in the trial court.
