WALTER, Justice.

Arthur Avnsoe filed suit against Square 67 Development Corporation, agent for Square 67, a joint venture, for damages involving a lease of a building in the defendant’s shopping center. Plaintiff asserted that the defendant failed to “substantially complete” the building on the date specified in their lease and the letter agreement extending the completion date to October 16, 1972, and because of this failure, the plaintiff contends he was authorized to cancel the lease.
