Barbara Katrina Hassell (“plaintiff’) appeals from an opinion and award of the Industrial Commission (“the Commission”) denying her claim for workers’ compensation benefits. The Commission determined that plaintiff’s generalized anxiety disorder was not due to causes and conditions characteristic of and peculiar to her employment as a sixth-grade teacher with the Onslow County Board of Education (“defendant”).
