This action was brought by a parent to recoyer damages for the death of a minor son which, it is alleged, resulted from the negligence of the defendant. The cause was tried to the court and a jury, and resulted in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the sum of $2,680. The defendant moved for a judgment notwithstanding 'the verdict and, in the alternative, for a new trial. Both of these motions being overruled, judgment was entered upon the verdict, from which the defendant, the city of Port Angeles, appealed.
