In this consolidated appeal, defendants-appellants Kathi Bowman and Timothy Bowman appeal their convictions in the Butler County Area I Court. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

On the evening of November 6, 1999, Deputies Sprague, Addis, and Kash from the Butler County Sheriffs Office arrived at appellants’ home. They came to arrest appellants’ adult son, Dustin Bowman, on a domestic violence complaint filed by his wife, Elizabeth. Dustin 1 and appellants were outside when the deputies arrived. When Deputy Kash reached for Dustin to place him under arrest, Dustin resisted.…
