Vincent M. Perez requests that we issue a writ of mandamus compelling three El Paso County Democratic party officials, Glenn “Butch” Maya, Iliana Holguin, and Michael Apodaca, and the El Paso County Elections Administrator, Lisa Wise, to remove Antonio Quintanilla from the March 1, 2016 Democratic Primary ballot for County Commissioner Precinct 3, El Paso County, Texas, because he does not meet the voter registration requirement imposed by Section 141.001(a)(6) of the Texas Election Code.
