ESCHBACH, Circuit Judge.

The primary question presented in this appeal is whether the district court erred in affirming the decision of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services denying Terrón Hayes surviving child’s benefits under the Social Security Act. For the reasons stated below, we will affirm.
