A Suffolk County grand jury returned indictments against the defendant, Nathaniel Rivers, for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, carrying a loaded firearm, and assault and battery on a police officer. The case is before the court on the defendant’s motion to suppress evidence that was seized and statements that were made by him on June 11, 2010.
