OPINION

MIRABAL, Justice.

A jury found appellant, Israel Vasquez, guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon. After finding two enhancement paragraphs true, the jury assessed punishment at 99 years confinement.

Houston Police Officer R. Sepolio testified that on July 11,1988, at approximately 3:45 p.m., he was at a business, gathering information on an unrelated case. An unidentified man approached Officer Sepolio and told Sepolio that a man with a gun was in the parking lot of a nearby Stop-N-Go.
